WEST FARGO (KFGO) – The City of West Fargo has a new city engineer.
The City Commission appointed Jerry Wallace at its meeting Monday night.
Wallace has been a West Fargo assistant city engineer since 2020. He will be responsible for overseeing development and construction projects for the city, coordinating, directing and implementing engineering policy and services. He’ll also oversee activities, budget, and performance of the engineering department.
“Jerry brings years of experience in Civil Engineering to the position of West Fargo’s City Engineer,” Senior Director of Community and Development Services Dan Hanson said. “His knowledge of West Fargo, technical skills, and commitment to completing projects to the highest standard make him a great fit for the role of City Engineer.”
Wallace holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University and is a Registered Professional Engineer.
“I am honored to be appointed into this role, and I look forward to continue working with an outstanding team of colleagues in the Engineering Department.” Wallace said. “We are already kicking off a busy summer construction season and are working hard on completing a full schedule of improvements and maintenance to infrastructure and utilities across West Fargo.”
Wallace’s engineering experience includes with the Navy from 1999 to 2004 and with Houston Engineering in Fargo from 2011 to 2019.
