ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Health, Children and Families Finance bill is the latest to pass the Minnesota House.
The bill provides funding for health care, child care and food shelves.
“There’s no funding for Minnesota Care in this bill. There’s no new taxes in this bill. There’s no planned approach for what may be coming our way from DC,” Republican Danny Nadeau (NUH’-doh) of Rogers says.
Democrat Carlie Kotyza Witthun (ko-teez-a wi-thune) of Eden Prairie says there’s about $6 million for security food funding, improvements in our child welfare processes, and an additional one time $6 million in scholarship funding.
The bill now heads to committee to iron out the differences with the Senate version.
