FARGO (KFGO/KNFL) – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have named George Tsamis as the fifth manager in team history ahead of the 2027 season.
The team says Tsamis is one of the winningest independent baseball managers in history, bringing with him six championships over 28 seasons.
Tsamis spent the last six seasons with the Kane County Cougars in the American Association, leading the team to back-to-back Miles Wolff Cup titles in 2024 and 2025. Prior to joining the Cougars in 2021, he was the longtime manager for the St. Paul Saints, leading the team to two league titles and nearly 1,000 wins from 2003-2020.
As a player, Tsamis had a 10-year pro career as a left-handed pitcher, including 41 appearances for the minnesota twins in 1993. He’ll replace chris coste, who stepped down last month after six seasons with the team.
