HORACE, N.D. (KFGO) – Essentia Health has broken ground on a new $7.5 million family medicine clinic in Horace, bringing expanded medical services to the fast-growing city.
The 7,500-square-foot facility will be located at 7735 Jacks Way, along a major road just south of West Fargo. The site is only blocks away from Horace High School and Heritage Middle School. Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2027.
Once finished, the clinic will provide primary care, urgent care, pediatrics, physical therapy, and laboratory and imaging services. It will also feature a drive-through pharmacy.
“Horace is a growing community, and we’re proud to invest in its future by bringing convenient, comprehensive healthcare closer to home,” said Dr. Stefanie Gefroh Ellison, Essentia Health West Market president. Ellison noted that the facility will help patients get routine checkups and same-day care close to where they live and work.
Horace Mayor Jeff Trudeau welcomed the development, calling the clinic an important new health care option for local residents. Regional leaders added that nearby medical services are critical for supporting community growth.
“Essentia Health’s new Horace clinic is a welcome addition for a fast-growing community and one more reason greater Fargo Moorhead continues to be a great place to live and work,” said Joe Raso, president and CEO of the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp.
The project follows a $40,000 contribution Essentia made earlier this year to Southern Valley Fire and Rescue to purchase two advanced cardiac monitor units.
