MINNESOTA – The Cook Political Report moves the race for Minnesota’s open Senate seat from likely Democrat to leans Democrat.
Democratic Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan shared her thoughts on her campaign on “News and Views”.
“I have always run for office like I’m 10 points behind. Even when I was unopposed running for the Legislature because you’ve got to earn it,” Flanagan said. “I think folks need to get off the polar coaster and do the work. Which is why we’ve done over 340 events.”
“Minnesota, we can win this. Our campaign is gaining ground,” Tafoya said in a video on her campaign’s Facebook page. “We’ve earned endorsements from law enforcement, from farmers and small business groups because Minnesotans are ready for common sense leadership and accountability.”
In a KSTP/Survey USA poll published last week, Flanagan leads Tafoya by three points with 45% support. That’s within the margin of error of 4.2%.
