FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Mayville State University coach Rocky Larson posted to social media that his quarterback, Matt Donovan left Sanford Medical Center.
Donovan suffered a brain injury during a football game on September 19.
He’s now headed to Lincoln, Nebraska for rehabilitation.
“Our kids got their first chance to see Matt as he headed out. It was an incredibly special and emotional moment for our kids that they’ll never forget,” Larson said.
Donovan’s dad said he was able to talk with Matt while he had his eyes open.
