UPDATE: Moorhead Police said the identity of the body recovered from the Red River on Tuesday is 27-year-old Luis Ramos of Fargo.
Authorities say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his drowning as no trauma was seen on his body.
UPDATE: Moorhead Police said the body of a person reported missing in the Red River was found near where they were last seen around 5:30 PM on Monday, August 17.
Their identity will be released once family is notified.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO) -Crews are searching for a person who entered the Red River in Moorhead on Sunday, August 16.
Police say they went into the water near the 100 block of River Oaks Point around 5:15 PM and began struggling. A friend called 911.
Water rescue and drone teams are helping look for the person.
Authorities don’t believe anything criminal happened.
