ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO/KVRR) — Gov. Tim Walz has appointed two people to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, including a judge from the northwest part of the state.
Judge Anne Rasmusson is the assistant chief judge of the Ninth Judicial District and is chambered in Polk County. She established and served on the White Earth/Mahnomen DWI and Drug Courts, and DWI Courts for Polk, Red Lake, and Norman counties.
The other appointee is Lisa Beane, a senior associate general counsel in the University of Minnesota’s Office of the General Counsel.
Rasmusson and Beane fill the seats of Judge Louise Dovre Bjorkman and Judge Randall J. Slieter, who are both retiring.
