Nancy Morris/City of Fargo
FARGO (KFGO) – The City of Fargo received a notice from City Attorney Nancy Morris of her intent to resign from the position, effective Monday, Nov. 24.
City Administrator Michael Redlinger says Morris will continue to serve as an Assistant City Attorney in a reduced capacity.
With the vacancy, Redlinger is asking for city commissioners to appoint Ian McClean as the City Attorney. McClean has served as Assistant City Attorney since 2015 and Redlinger says McClean has provided valuable counsel in several areas to Fargo.
“His experience, knowledge and familiarity with the City of Fargo have prepared him to serve n the appointed role of City Attorney,” Redlinger wrote in a memo to commissioners.
