John Connolly, Mn. Medicaid Director
MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) — The U.S. Senate is considering federal cuts to Medicaid, which has Minnesota hospitals scrambling to look for answers on how to offset the funding that would be lost.
John Connolly is the Medicaid Director for the Minnesota Department of Human Services and says this could be a nightmare for all Minnesotans.
He says, “We will keep saying again and again that the result of these cuts is that health outcomes are worse in our communities and costs rise for everyone. Not just the people who lose coverage as a result of less Medicaid coverage.”
Medicaid is the largest single source of health insurance in Minnesota.
