BERLIN (Reuters) -German inflation fell to 2.6% in February, the federal statistics office said on Friday, revising down preliminary data.
The office had initially reported that annual inflation, harmonised to compare with other European Union countries, had remained flat in February for the second month in a row at 2.8%.
The month-on-month inflation rate was also slightly revised down, from an initial 0.6% to a final reading of 0.5%, it said.
The office did not say why it revised the harmonised inflation data down.
