HANOI (Reuters) – Singapore and Vietnam on Wednesday agreed to bolster cooperation in key sectors, including subsea cables, finance and energy, according to a joint statement posted on the website of Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The pledge to enhance cooperation marks the elevation of relations between the countries to a “comprehensive strategic partnership” during an ongoing visit to Singapore by Vietnam’s Communist Party Chief To Lam.
