GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – Grand Forks Police say an arrest has been made in an attempted robbery at a smoke shop Wednesday evening.
Logan Winkler of Brocket, North Dakota is accused of trying to rob Discontent on South Washington Street. Police say Winkler, 30, entered the store wearing a mask and handed an employee an envelope with a note demanding money and claiming he was armed. Investigators say Winkler left the store quickly without any money.
Winkler is facing an attempted robbery charge. He has a long criminal history, and is currently on supervised probation after pleading guilty to felony theft earlier this year.
