GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Grand Forks man accused of being in possession of child sex abuse materials.
Juan Carrera is charged with five counts of possession of certain materials prohibited. Investigators say the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was alerted by Verizon about files uploaded to cloud storage that appeared to be child sex abuse material.
The information provided by Verizon led investigators to an apartment in Grand Forks where Carrera lives.
Court records say investigators discovered five videos depicting sexual abuse of children between the ages of 6 and 14-years-old.
