HANKINSON, N.D. (KFGO) – The Richland County Sheriff’s Office says a driver trying to avoid a deer led to a rollover on Interstate 29 Saturday night.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. northeast of Hankinson.
The Sheriff’s Office says the 23-year-old man driving the car was northbound when he made a sharp turn to avoid the deer. The car rolled twice before landing upright in the median.
By the time first responders arrived, the man was outside the car and walking around. He was evaluated by Hankinson Ambulance and taken to a hospital. The extent of any injuries has not been released.
Hankinson Fire also responded to the scene.
