WADENA CO., Minn. (KFGO) – Three people were taken to area hospitals after a crash in Wadena County on Monday, Nov. 10.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a pickup was driving north on U.S. Highway 71 and a car was going west on County Road 9 when they crashed just after 6:30 p.m.
The airbags in both vehicles went off. 75–year-old James Preiner and 80-year-old Barbara Preiner, both of Park Rapids, were hurt and taken to area hospitals.
A 17-year-old girl from Akeley, who was driving the car, was taken to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
Troopers say all three have non life-threatening injuries. The two people in the truck were wearing their seatbelts, but the teen was not. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
