ST. PAUL, Minn. – Governor Tim Walz has scheduled two special elections to fill senate seats.
They’re set for Tuesday, November 4. The seats were vacated following the death of Republican Senator Bruce Anderson of Buffalo and the burglary conviction in Detroit Lakes of Senator Nicole Mitchell of Woodbury. Mitchell, a Democrat, resigned.
If needed, special primary elections for the nomination of candidates will be held on August 26.
Candidates must have their nominating petitions turned in by August 6.
