Dozens take advantage of ND Sober Ride at Red River Valley Fair

FARGO (KFGO) — The Red River Valley Fair had large attendance and big numbers for ‘ND Sober Ride.’

Over two weekends, 119 fairgoers took advantage of discounted Lyft rides, through the rideshare program.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation says events like the fair bring people together from all corners of the state and the sober ride program helps people plan ahead, so the event does not end in tragedy.

The campaign is part of the Vision Zero strategy to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
