ST. PAUL, Minn. – Northwest Minnesota is under another air quality alert through Friday at 11 p.m. due to Canadian wildfire smoke.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency says air quality is expected to reach the red level in the air quality index, meaning the air is unhealthy for everyone in the area. The DNR says burning permits will not be issued and campfires are discouraged in that part of the state.
The affected area includes East Grand Forks, Roseau, and the Tribal Nations of Red Lake and White Earth.
