Man shot, killed after home invasion in northern Minnesota

REDBY, Minn. (KFGO/KVRR) – A man was shot and killed after kicking in the door of a home on the Red Lake Indian Reservation Wednesday.   

Red Lake officers responded to a call from the homeowner in Redby who says the man was shot after forcing his way into the home. Multiple people gave the man CPR before officers took over and called Red Lake EMS.  

The man died at the scene.  

The FBI and Minnesota BCA are assisting with an investigation.
