GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – Early Monday morning, Grand Forks police were dispatched to a person shot on 5th Avenue North.
Initial investigation indicates that a handgun was discharged inside an apartment. One victim, with non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
Several witnesses, who were in the apartment at the time, were interviewed on the scene. The investigation is ongoing. However, at this time, it is believed this incident was a result of an accident.
The firearm was seized and there is no known threat to the public.
