FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) — Fargo Police arrested a man after he assaulted officers in downtown Fargo Saturday.
Officers were called to the 200 block of Roberts Street N. around 4:35 p.m. for a report of suspicious activity.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers attempted to detain the suspect, 37-year-old Joseph Manitowabi. As they tried to detain him, Manitowabi punched three officers and led police on a short pursuit down Roberts Street before being apprehended.
Video of that incident has now been viewed on various social media platforms millions of times.
Manitowabi faces charges of Preventing Arrest, Possession of Methamphetamine, three counts of Assault on a Police Officer, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He has no permanent address.
The three officers involved in the incident were treated for minor injuries.
Manitowabi is in the Cass County jail.
