SISSETON, S.D. (KFGO/KWAT) – The Roberts County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a motorcycle rider involved in a high speed pursuit Thursday.
The chase began when a deputy tried to make a traffic stop east of Sisseton near the Minnesota border. The driver fled at speeds well over 100 miles an hour.
A short time later, the motorcycle passed a second deputy, who used radar to confirm a speed of 152 miles an hour.
Deputies continued their pursuit into Browns Valley, Minnesota. The motorcycle circled back into Roberts County and passed through a town, still going over 100 miles an hour.
Deputies lost sight of the motorcycle and stopped the pursuit.
The Sheriff’s Office says the motorcycle is believed to be an orange Suzuki motorcycle. The motorcycle driver was wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt, black pants, and a black helmet with an orange-tinted visor.
Anyone with information on the driver is asked to contact the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office.
