PEORIA Ill. – Despite all the rain we’ve recently seen locally, Peoria — Tazewell — and Woodford counties are still in the midst of a moderate drought to abnormally dry conditions.
According to the U-S Drought Monitor, 84% t of Peoria County has moderate drought conditions — in comparison to last week, where 100% of the county was abnormally dry.
In Tazewell county, only 2% is experiencing moderately drought conditions — with 98% seeing abnormally dry conditions.
And in Woodford County, only 5% is seeing abnormally dry conditions — and 95% of the county is experiencing a moderate drought.
