FARGO (KFGO) – A police investigation involving a missing West Fargo woman and a warrant execution in Fargo is expanding.
On Friday evening, the Red River Valley SWAT team assisted Fargo Police in serving a search warrant in the 4400 block of Calico Drive S. where officers were looking for evidence related to 24-year-old Isadora Wengel. Wengel was reported missing in West Fargo. She was last seen early Monday.
Fargo Police say officers used a flash bang device and breached the door of the apartment to get inside. One person was detained during the raid, but has since been released.
Investigators are processing the apartment for evidence and have expanded the investigation to the Fargo landfill. Police say they are working with landfill personnel to search the area where trash from Calico Drive S. would be dumped.
West Fargo Police are helping Fargo Police and the State Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been called to help as well.
Police say no one has been arrested, but there is no threat to the public.
