Man dies in house fire near Ulen, Minn. (KVRR TV)
ULEN, Minn. (KFGO) – A man is dead following a house fire near Ulen northeast of Moorhead.
Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says the call came in shortly after 10 a.m. Friday.
Empting says a deputy was the first to arrive and went into the house. He says the deputy was not able to find the victim and was forced to go back outside due to heavy smoke. Ulen firefighters found the victim in a bedroom after putting out the blaze. A deputy State Fire Marshal will assist with the investigation.
Other first responders included the Minnesota State Patrol, Hitterdal Fire, Sanford Ambulance and AirMed and the Salvation Army.
