MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association is asking leaders to stop inflammatory language after an ICE agent shot and killed a Minneapolis woman.
Interim Director David Titus says political attacks on law enforcement can have dangerous consequences and he urges respect for the investigation. Titus says the association stands firmly behind law enforcement officers, accountability under the law, and the safety of every community.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem maintains the shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good was self-defense.
The FBI and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating.
