BISMARCK, N.D. (North Dakota Monitor) – North Dakotans can help choose the state’s next “I Voted” sticker from a group of five finalists.
The public can vote for their favorite at sos.nd.gov/stickervote through Jan. 23.
From kindergarteners to grandparents, 478 entries from 72 communities were submitted, the Secretary of State’s Office said. The finalists feature a bald eagle, a prairie dog, the state Capitol building, a water color design and the “you betcha” phrase.
“I was impressed by the number of entries we received and the variety of designs. It was a true reflection of creativity and civic pride from across our state,” Secretary of State Michael Howe said in a news release.
The winning design will be announced in March and will be used at the polls during the primary election June 9. The winner will receive a professionally framed copy of their winning design and recognition during the official sticker unveiling ceremony in Bismarck.
The last statewide voting sticker design contest was sponsored by the North Dakota County Auditors Association. Fourth graders were invited to submit designs, and the winning sticker was revealed for the 2020 election cycle.
