FORADA, Minn. (KFGO) – A garbage truck driver suffered serious injuries when his truck was struck by a train in Douglas County, Minnesota Friday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the crash in Forada around 8:40 a.m. When first responders arrived, the truck was on its side and the driver was trapped under it.
The Alexandria Fire Department lifted the truck off the driver. He was flown to St. Cloud Hospital by Life Link helicopter.
No one else was hurt. No names have been released.
North Ambulance, Douglas County Public Works, Alexandria Police, the State Patrol, and railroad staff also responded.
