ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – MyPillow founder Mike Lindell has taken a step toward becoming a candidate for Minnesota governor.
The Mike Lindell for Governor Committee has filed paperwork with the state campaign finance board.
Lindell, a Republican and long-time supporter of President Trump, says he has not decided whether to join the race but he’s 98% sure he will announce for governor next Thursday. Lindell has faced multiple lawsuits over false claims of election fraud and was recently found to have defamed voting technology company Smartmatic.
Democratic Governor Tim Walz is running for a third term.
House Speaker Lisa Demuth, State representative Kristen Robbins, Twin Cities lawyer Chris Madel, business executive Kendall Qualls and former nominee Scott Jensen are among the Republicans who seeking their party’s nomination.
