HARWOOD, N.D. (KVRR) — It was a close call for two firefighters and a State trooper on I-29 north of Harwood Tuesday afternoon.
Harwood Fire and Rescue shared a video of several vehicles in the ditch or stopped on the Interstate when a pickup slid off the road and nearly hit them.
“As the fire chief of these exceptional individuals this video absolutely infuriates me,” Fire Chief Marc Mosser wrote on social media. “Two of my firefighters and a North Dakota State Trooper were almost taken out by an irresponsible driver. Let that sink in, two of my firefighters almost did not make it home and NDHP almost lost a vehicle because of someone not driving for the conditions. I could go on and on about trickle down effects on public safety but the moral of the story is, SLOW DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION OR DON’T TRAVEL.”
