FARGO MOORHEAD (KFGO) – It has been a difficult travel day with snow, blowing snow and poor visibility. But the sections of interstates 94 and 29 that were closed Tuesday afternoon are now open.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation and Highway Patrol had earlier issued no travel advisories for the southeastern corner of the state with vehicles off the roads and jackknifed semis. That became a closure on I-94 and I-29 in the afternoon before opening up again Tuesday night.
In west-central Minnesota, State Patrol Sergeant Jesse Grabow reported several vehicles off the highways, especially on I-94 between Moorhead and Alexandria.
Grabow says many drivers were not were not taking conditions into account and going too fast.
