MOORHEAD (KFGO/Learfield) – Thursday’s Give to the Max Day was another success for non-profits and schools across Minnesota. The 24-hour online campaign raised $37,756,923. Give MN Deputy Executive Director Jenna Ray says, due to hard economic times, they were cautiously optimistic heading into the day of giving.
“Nationwide giving trends were showing us that we could anticipate having a significantly smaller day than that. And Minnesotans showed up for their communities and for their neighbors and for that, we’re just unbelievably grateful.”
The annual event kicks off the year-end giving season, which is a critical time for non-profits.
“I think what’s really exceptional about Minnesotans and worth celebrating is that they understand and rise to that call to support their neighbors and help their non-profit and school partners and support our communities in-turn and I think that’s worth celebrating each and every day, not just one day a year.”
Ray says tens of thousands of donors gave to 6,400 organizations. The annual event is Minnesota’s largest 24-hour online fundraiser.
North Dakota’s Giving Hearts Day is happening on February 12, 2026.
