North Dakota Travel Industry Alliance
BISMARCK (KFGO/Prairie Public) – A group that promotes North Dakota tourism has a new name, and potentially a broader membership. The Destination Marketing Association of North Dakota is now the North Dakota Travel Industry Alliance.
“Tourism and travel and hospitality, they make up so many different industries of course, but we felt it’s important to bring these industries together under this umbrella of travel and tourism so we can advocate better on behalf of tourism and visitors in our community,” said alliance President Julie Rygg of Visit Greater Grand Forks.
Rygg says the new organization is now looking for a management company or individual to help advance the tourism industry in North Dakota.
“We need a more united voice for tourism and this will do it.”
Rygg says tourism is the third largest industry in the state.
