GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) — A juvenile is facing charges after leading authorities on a pursuit in Grand Forks Thursday evening.
Around 6:30 p.m., an officer tried making a traffic stop for erratic driving near 1300 S. Washington Street, but the driver sped off. A Grand Forks County Sheriff’s deputy used a PIT maneuver near 2600 17th Avenue S. to stop the vehicle.
The vehicle crashed into an electrical pole.
Police say the juvenile driver was not hurt, but taken to Altru Hospital out of an abundance of caution.
The driver is facing charges of fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, theft of a motor vehicle, and theft of a debit card.
