JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KFGO) – An Alabama man is charged in Stutsman County, North Dakota, accused of construction fraud.
A warrant for the arrest of Joey Neumann of Newville, AL was issued on Nov. 10.
Investigators say Neumann was paid $9,000 in April to put up a metal building for a man, but Neumann abandoned the contract. Court records say no work was done within 180 days of the contract being agreed upon in writing.
Neumann is charged with one count of felony construction fraud, which is punishable up to 5 years imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine.
