COOK, Minn. (KFGO) – A Minnesota hunter is okay after falling and getting lost while deer hunting Monday night in northern Minnesota.
Deputies say the 70-year-old man injured a deer and was tracking it near Cook, Minnesota in St. Louis County when he became lost in the darkness.
He contacted his wife and called 911. Dispatchers were able to get GPS coordinates of his location and search parties with training and experience in human tracking found the hunter. He was not hurt.
