FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) — A Fargo man is accused of making online posts threatening President Donald Trump and law enforcement officers.
An arrest warrant for Andrew Sandvik was approved on Wednesday, and he was taken into custody at 1531 5th Avenue S. on a count of Influencing Federal Official by Threat.
Fargo Police Department and FBI investigations began on Sept. 4.
During a search of the property investigators located cinder blocks with the words “Danger” written on them and bottles filled with unknown liquids. More concerning posts aimed at President Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel were discovered on Sept. 17.
In one Facebook post he allegedly wrote, “Secret Service it is not secret I am your biggest threat you better get here fast.” In another post he allegedly wrote, “Trump can you feel my footsteps coming? Death is now marching towards the failed and weak Donald Trump! Look up to the sky! You will see the sign of the coming DEATH OF TRUMP”.
Sandvik is also accused of making threats against local law enforcement in social media posts.
Witnesses told investigators about weapons Sandvik had or once owned including a 9mm firearm and airsoft guns. Sandvik will make his initial appearance in federal court in Fargo on Friday.
The case is still under investigation.
