FORT TOTTEN, N.D. (KFGO) – The search efforts for Danica “Tynee” White, a 20-year-old Spirit Lake tribal member, are gaining significant momentum.
White was reported missing on Nov. 1 and the search now involves 22 federal, state and tribal agencies. Since the start of the search, approximately 15,000 acres have been covered.
“We are deeply grateful for the tremendous support from our partners and volunteers,” said Spirit Lake Tribal Chairwoman Lonna Jackson-Street. “We encourage anyone with information to come forward and assist us in bringing Danica home.”
The search team is asking the public for supplies, including walking sticks for ground volunteers and snacks and drinks for those working on the search.
A Feather Alert was issued for White after she called 911 saying she needed help. The Spirit Lake Tribe does not believe she is in immediate danger, but they remain vigilant in their search efforts and urge anyone with information to contact the Fort Totten Police Department at 701-766-4231.
White is 5’6″, 125 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie with pink and purple jellyfish designs, grey ball cap and grey low top Nikes with a white logo. She has a tattoo of the number 31 on her left forearm.
