MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The cities of Fargo and Moorhead are hosting a public input meeting on Thursday, Nov. 6 to discuss the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the Red River.
The bridge would span the river near 40th Avenue South in Fargo and 50th Avenue South in Moorhead by the Bluestem Amphitheater. The project would connect to existing shared-use paths in both cities.
The bridge and 10-foot-wide path are scheduled to be constructed in 2027 and paid for with federal and local funds.
Representatives from both cities and Houston Engineering will be at Thursday’s meeting to answer questions and discuss concerns in an open-house format. It’s happening at the Trollwood Performing Arts School located at 801 50th Ave. S. in Moorhead from 5 to 7 p.m.
Community members who are unable to attend the meeting can send written comments postmarked or emailed by Thursday, Nov. 13, with “Public Input Meeting – SP 144-09-020” in the letter heading or email subject.
