HORACE, N.D. (KFGO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is asking people to avoid an area in Horace due to an ongoing incident.
A Cass County Alert says there is a heavy police presence near 7994 Jacks Way. Police tape is up around an apartment building.
The Sheriff’s Office says there is no threat to the public at this time.
A notification sent to school district families says a person is in custody. The three schools in Horace initiated a “secured building” response to ensure that only students and staff were allowed inside the buildings.
A Sanford Health spokesman says the Horace Clinic was locked down as a safety precaution, but is now back to normal operations.
