FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo police are investigating after a driver ran from officers during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.
Lt. Christie Jacobsen says around 3:30 a.m., an officer tried to pull over a vehicle for a headlight violation in the 2600 block of 13th Avenue S. The driver sped off and the officer did not pursue, but the driver continued speeding through neighborhoods.
Officers deployed stop sticks and deflated the vehicle’s tires. Jacobsen says the vehicle came to a stop in the 900 block of 6th Avenue N. and the driver ran off.
Police set up a perimeter, but officers could not find the driver. The vehicle was towed.
Jacobsen says no other information can be released at this time.
