CRARY, N.D. (KFGO) – A Devils Lake woman suffered serious injuries and faces a DUI charge after a crash involving a van carrying a college basketball team Wednesday night.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the car and van were both westbound on U.S. Highway 2 southeast of Crary when the car rear-ended the van. The car went into the median and rolled.
The van came to a stop in the eastbound lanes of the highway. The 38-year-old was first taken to CHI St. Alexius Health in Devils Lake and then transferred to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. There were 10 people in the van – the 43-year-old man driving the van and the nine members of the Devils Lake College men’s intramural basketball team.
None of the men in the van were hurt.
