FARGO (KFGO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is adding a fire suppression tool to its response capabilities.
Deputies are now trained and equipped with the Fire Suppression Solutions Tool.
The device features a simple activation process that rapidly deploys an aerosol mist, helping to quickly control fires. The FST can be used in temperatures as low as -55 degrees. The device is non-pressurized and the mist can be deployed by pulling two pins that initiate an electronic ignition system.
The FST weighs about 6.5 pounds.
