MINNEAPOLIS.ST. PAUL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – A Delta flight had to be diverted to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport after it encountered “significant turbulence,” leaving 25 people injured.
Delta says that the flight, which was flying from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam, safely landed at the airport around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, medical personnel met the flight upon arrival to evaluate passengers and crew.
The Metropolitan Airports Commission states that their fire department and paramedics responded to the plane at the gate to provide medical attention to the passengers.
Delta said that 25 people on board the plane were brought to local hospitals for evaluation and care. The company added that there were 275 customers and 13 crew members on board the Airbus A330-900.
The severity of the injuries is currently unknown.
