FARGO (KFGO) — A Tokio, North Dakota woman has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for driving over and killing a man on the Spirit Lake Reservation.
31-year-old Tiera Scott ran over the victim in Fort Totten in August 2024. Scott had no driver’s license, and was driving drunk. She also had drugs and drug paraphernalia in the car, and had three children with her.
After her release from prison, Scott will be on supervised release for three years and has to pay for the victim’s funeral expenses.
The FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs investigated the incident.
