Minnesota Sen. Smith hospitalized after feeling sick at Capitol

WASHINGTON (KFGO) – Minnesota U.S. Sen. Tina Smith is in the hospital after becoming sick in Washington Wednesday.  

Smith’s staff says while at work at the Capitol, Smith started not feeling well. She went to the capitol physician who recommended she go to george washington university hospital for further examination.  

“Out of an abundance of caution, they are keeping her overnight for observation,” a post on Smith’s social media says.

Staff says Smith expects to be back to work very soon.
