FARGO (KFGO) – Essentia Health on 32nd Avenue S. was locked down for a short time Wednesday morning.
Police Capt. Matt Christensen says at 7:34 a.m., Fargo Police received a report of a threatening phone call. Christensen says police do not believe there is a threat to the public.
Essentia Health Media Relations Specialist Caitlin Pallai says the decision to go into lockdown was made out of an abundance of caution.
“Scheduled patient encounters are being cancelled until noon today,” Pallai says. “We are extremely grateful for the quick action of our staff and response by our law enforcement partners. We are actively gathering all the facts to complete a full incident investigation with Fargo Police Department and Moorhead Police Department.”
