GRANDIN, N.D. (KFGO) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a blown tire is to blame for a crash that injured 12 people, including 10 children.
The patrol says a Ford Transit van was southbound on I-29 about 3 miles north of Grandin around 3:30 p.m. Thursday when the left rear tire blew out. The van went into the ditch and rolled.
10 children, ranging in age from 6 months to 16-year-old, and a 35-year-old woman all had non-life threatening injuries. They were all taken to hospitals in the area. The driver, a 34-year-old man, was not hurt. All are from Arvilla, N.D.
Everyone was wearing a seatbelt.
