
HUNTER, N.D. (KFGO) – A deadly crash northwest of Fargo is under investigation.
The Highway Patrol says two trucks collided after one truck did not stop at a stop sign. It happened at the intersection of Cass County Roads 18 and 26 shortly before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
One of the trucks was a cement truck. It was empty. The other truck was a semi pulling a trailer containing potatoes.
The driver of the cement truck, a 34-year-old man from Fort Myers, Florida, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. The semi driver, a 78-year-old man from Minto, North Dakota, suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo by ambulance.
The patrol, Cass County Sheriff’s deputies, Hunter Ambulance and fire crews from Arthur, Hunter and Grandin-Gardner responded to the scene along with Sanford Ambulance.
Their names have not been released.
